Apparently capable of  serving 100 "perfect", tailored cups of coffee an hour, the Coffee Haus robot from Austin-based start-up Briggo may well make an appearance in the UK soon.

Before the streets are filled with protesting hipsters, the Coffee Haus, it claims, is not coming after the baristas: Briggo is clear that its aim is to bring barista standard coffee to places such as offices, conference centres and university campuses where no barista service is available

All well and good, but the coffee drinking population are a discerning bunch and Briggo also claim that Coffee Haus can make coffee better and more consistently perfect than any human barista.

Prediction: we'll see Coffee Haus soon but until it can bake an organic granola bar our baristas are safe.
